Christmas Tree!!

So on Sunday morning, my family and I went to go get our Christmas Tree!! Its a tradtion that we do every year, we went out to breakfast and then we head up to the States Farmers Market where there are a ton of trees!  We have been buying a tree from the same guy to, his name is Carl McCall.  He is a very nice man and since we have been coming to him a lot, he gives us discounts, which my mom loves!  I absoulutley love this time of year because its all about spending time with your family, and giving to those you love.  Everyone also just seems to be in a good mood, no matter what has happened. Can't wait for Christmas to get here!!

Where would I be without them??

As I said in the beginning, senior year has its ups and downs,  and one of the downs is stress, and lots of it!  The only way I am getting through this is with my parents.  I honestly don't know where I would be without them.  They keep me staying positive and believing in myself.  Every morning before I leave for school my dad always says to have a great day and stay positive.  They understand where I'm coming from and know what I am going through.
My parents may not be going through what I am going through but they see my stress and my pain and they try to do anything in their power to stop it....and I must say, they are doing a pretty good job at it.   If it wasn't for them giving me advice, and showing me encouragement everyday, I think I would rip every hair out of my head.  I love them with all of my heart and know I will get through this.  Sometimes you just need a little extra help to push through those tough situations.

Thanksgiving Break!

I just returned to school from being on Thanksgiving Break! It was really hard to come back because we had a whole week off this year instead of just 4 days.  Over my break I just stayed home, but it was so relaxing.  I got on up on Thanksgiving morning and watched the Macy's Day Parade! I absoulutley love the parade, its a tradition to wake up and watch it.   When Thanksgiving dinner rolled around, we had some of our family come over to our house.  My Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle David, Aunt Mary Ann, her brother with his wife, my little 6 year old cousin Isabelle, and Tommy and his wife, a guy who works with my dad at work.  It was the most random group of people but it was great because everyone got along so well!!

When Thanksgiving was over, the fun was not over!  My grandma, mom and I woke up at 2:30 the next morning and went shopping!  Yes..we are one of those crazy people.  First we went to Kohls because they opened at 3 a.m. with great sales, then we headed up to the Mall of GA.  We soon realized that we were not the only crazy people because it was so crowded!  It was very hard to buy something because the lines were out the door! It's all in fun the reason that we go, but I did get one good bargin!  I found a pair of boots that were orginally $75 and I got them for 19!  It was such a great deal.....this is probably one of my favorite times of the year! I can't wait to see what next year holds :))

Happy Holidays!

CMA AWARDS!!

So on Wednesday, the 44th annual CMA awards came on!  I know this may not seem  a very big deal to some people but to me it is!  I am in love with county music, I love everything about it, the lyrics, the beat and the people who sing it.  Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton walked out with a lot of the awards tonight!  Which is a coincidence because they are engaged to get married soon.  The big award of the night is Entertainer of the Year and even though I was pulling for Keith Urban to win, Brad Paisley went home with the award.  I am glad he won it besides Taylor Swift and the Zac Brown Band.  Even though those artists are good, they haven't paid their dues to being involved in country music yet.

The performances were great!  I can't even say a favorite because they were all soooo good!  Carrie Underwood looked BEAUTIFUL, she sang her latest hit Mamas Song, she dedicated this song to her mom after she got married.  Jason Aldean, who is my favorite singer of all times, sang a duet with Kelly Clarkson, it was very entertaining and their voices sound amazing together!  There aren't any words to describe how good the CMAs were this year but all I can say is....Make way for next year because they will be even better!

Playoff Game!!

Tonight is the first playoff game for the GAC Spartans!! We are playing Blessed trinity, so I think we have a pretty good chance at winning because we played them back in September and we won! Everyone please come out to the game, it will be at the home of the Spartans :)

Hannahs Blog!

I really enjoyed listening to Hannah's presentation about how today's technology has changed the way kids and even adults view the world.  I especially liked the activity we did where we wrote down 5 things we wanted, it showed us how what we want now changed dramatically just over the past 5 years.  I remember just  years ago, I was play tag or jumping on my trampoline outside, now all kids want nowadays is to sit on the couch and play Wii or Xbox.  When I was 7 I didn't even know how to work a phone, much less have one.

Speak Now!

So I am a huge Taylor swift fan! and her new CD just came out, if you haven't listened to it yet, i suggest you jump right to it!  She wrote every single song, and each one of her songs has something to do with what she went through.   In an interview on the Todays show, she said that this album is mainly about growing up and what kids go through.   If you want 3 more extra songs, check out her deluxe edition of Speak Now! This CD is amazing, and worth your money!

Homecoming Week!!

Well its finally homecoming week!! It was dress up day all week long, on Monday it was decade day and me and all my friends were 80s girls, on Tuesday it was nerd day me and my friend KAY HAYYY haha dressed up like twin nerds! We actually looked more like British prep school girls, it was kinda a fail but we still had fun!!... moving on to Wednesday...it was group duo day and my friends and I were crayons! I was tickle me pink, and one girl was mango tango, pixy purple, aquamarine blue and forest green!! It was so creative, not to mention, comfortable!     Thursday, was prep/hick day, I dressed up like a hick because I have more hick in my blood than I do prep haha That was my favorite day :)    Today is Friday!! Its mask crusader day, I didn't dress up because there is a huge pep rally today and the cheerleaders are practicing all day long!!

UGA vs. VANDY!

So this weekend I went up to Athens with my friends Katie and Erin, it was soooo much fun! We ended up seeing a lot of people we knew that have graduated from GACS and catching up with on another.  The game so incredibly hot but it was worth it!  UGA won beating Vandy 43 to 0!!  It was also homecoming for UGA so they had a all the old cheerleaders out there in their old cheer leading uniforms.  They aslo introduced the new UGA,  UGA VIII.   After the game we went and met up with people that we hadn't seen in awhile,  we asked them how they liked UGA and they said they loved it, however, the work is super hard.   We made new friends, its funny how people change from high school to college, everyone just seemed more respectful and didn't care what other people thought.   It comes to show you that what happens in high school will not stay with you forever, so don't worry about the little things

Ups and Downs

Yesterday the seniors had the day off because it was the day of the PSAT and only the juniors, sophomores, and freshman had to come to school.  I spent my day shopping and sleeping.  That is definitely one of the ups about being a senior :)...... however today is the day before the deadline to turn in early admissions for college applications.  I have received information that I have not turned in certain stuff and I still have a lot more to do before tomorrow.  So far I have applied to two colleges Georgia Southern and Valdosta State.  I have yet to hear back from them, and the suspense is killing me!

Soon we will find out if I get in to a college that I want!

stay tuneddd :)

This test lasted literally for 5 hours, I was dying!  Hopefully this is the last time I will have to take these tests!    When I came home, I took a 4 hour nap and then I went out with my girls! :)  My day finally got better after 1 o'clock!

The Beginning

Well this is the 7th week of Senior Year and its amazing! However, i will say it is not as easy as people say it is.  Its very stressful, between the schoolwork and wanting to get out and college applications.  Not to mention graduation stuff, Its only October and people are already talking about getting graduation stuff together.  It's very overwhelming but this year is exciting and I'm gonna make it count. I cant wait to see whats in store for the months to come!
